Born: 1859, Died: 1945 George Cary was born to Dr. Walter Cary of Buffalo, NY. As an undergraduate he studied at Harvard and then earned his masters at Columbia University in 1885. After graduation he worked with McKim, Mead & White, followed by a stint in Paris where he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts from 1886 to 1889. After returning to the United States, Cary set up his office in 1891 in Buffalo.Cary was one of three local architects serving on the Board of Architects for the Pan American Exposition of 1901.
