Born in Toledo, OH, Ewing Harry Miller became an architect in Terre Haute, IN, but first he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with both Bachelors and Masters in Architecture (1948). Thereafter he was employed in Philadelphia by Harbeson, Hough, Livingston & Larson (1948-50) and Nolen & Swinburne (1950). He then relocated and became a designer with Miller & Vrydagh (1948-50) in Terre Haute and then project architect with Gilboy, O'Malley & Stopper (1953-54). In 1955 he became a partner in Miller, Vrydagh & Miller (1955-1960), which evolved into Miller, Miller & Associates (1964 - ) and then Ewing Miller Associates.
