Born: 2/15/1881, Died: 6/25/1947

L. Valentine Scherr, a Drexel Institute graduate, was employed for many years by the firm of Zantzinger, Borie & Medary and also served as the personal architect for Henry W. Breyer, the ice cream magnate. From 1923 to 1930 he shared an office address with John T. Carlin and John L. Coneys. He also appears on the payroll for Rankin & Kellogg from April to June 1929. At the time of his death he had recently moved to Washington, DC, where he was employed as resident supervising architect for the U.S. Government.
