Partners Duffield Ashmead and Clarence DeArmond established their office in 1908 and continued working together through 1911, when they were joined by DeArmond's classmate from the University of Pennsylvania, George H. Bickley, thus creating DeArmond, Ashmead & Bickley.
DeArmond & Ashmead appears to have concentrated on residential and hotel commissions.
