Marmaduke Ward Easby first appears in the Philadelphia city directories in 1896 as a consulting engineer with offices in the Bullitt Building. In 1899 the Philadelphia Real Estate Record and Builders Guide notes that Easby is architect and engineer for the Cooper Brass Works, and he continues with his engineer designation at various addresses until 1917, when his occupation becomes treasurer in M. Ward Easby, Inc., with offices at 1420 Chestnut Street. Both individual and company continue through the 1930 city directory, but for the 1935/36 city directory, Easby's individual listing has disappeared although the company continues. Easby died at his home at 426 Jackson Street, Media, PA in 1949.
