Victor Kusch was born in River Edge, NJ, the son of Albert T. and Mary C. Kusch, and earned an architecture degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 1949 after serving as a captain in the Army Air Corps in World War II. Kusch worked as a designer in a number of Philadelphia offices after completing his training, and in 1955 joined the office of Nolen & Swinburne. In 1964, he was made a partner in the firm, and was head of programming and client relations. He was named a senior partner in 1971. Kusch left Philadelphia in 1974 to become the vice president of a New York firm. He then moved to San Francisco to work as a management consultant, but returned to Philadelphia in 1977 to join Ballinger Co. as a project manager. He remained in that office until the end of his career.
Kusch joined the national AIA in 1967, and was a member of the Philadelphia chapter. Kusch was also a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration, and of the American Management Association.
