Born: 10/4/1904

Edith A. Hollander was born in Patterson, NJ, to Dr. Charles and Mrs. Elsa Hollander. She received her B.Arch from Cornell University (after also studying design at the University of Pennsylvania) in 1926 but had already begun her Philadelphia career by entering the office of Thomas, Martin & Kirkpatrick in 1925 and she would remain there until 1928. From July 1928 to February 1929 she worked for R. Brognard Okie, and then began working with Paul P. Cret in February 1929.
