Evans & Bright represents one of many firms spawned by the venerable Furness, Evans & Co.. In this case Edmund C. Evans and John I. Bright met while working in the larger office and established Evans & Bright in 1906. Their partnership endured until September, 1909, when Bright withdrew from the office; and Evans joined Frederick T. Bigger and James S. Warner to establish Evans, Warner & Bigger.
Evans & Bright specialized in residential design, especially the suburban residence that was so popular during the pre-World War I years.
