Born: 1878

Born in Baltimore, MD, Isaac Hathaway Francis was the son of Isaac H. and Laura V. (Cunningham) Francis. He received his education at Baltimore City College, Johns Hopkins University, and finally his degree in mechanical engineering at Cornell University. By 1901 he was engaged in consulting mechanical engineering in Philadelphia.
