Born: 1823, Died: 8/8/1896 Born in Baden, Germany, Charles Bartberger received his education at the Polytechnic Institute in Carlsruhe, graduating in 1843. In 1845 he immigrated to the United States and came to Pittsburgh, where he established a reputation as a church architect.
