Born in Philadelphia and educated at both Drexel Institute and the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to attending the T-Square Club atelier, Charles T. Weidner is better known as a San Antonio architect than one from Philadelphia. However, before beginning his travels west and south, Weidner spent several years in the employ of well-known Philadephia offices, including Watson & Huckel, 1908-1910, and Thomas, Churchman & Molitor, 1910. By 1911 he had moved to Helena, Montana, where he was chief draftsman for Link & Haire (1911-12), but then he launched his own office (Weidner & Co.), which was succeeded by Smith-Pitts-Weidner Associates and Weidner & Walther, 1951-59.
Weidner joined the AIA in 1922.
