MARC Description:
While Laverty lists two separate projects, all drawings appear to be for the enclosed swimming pool and ancillary locker room & sun terrace, and have been renumbered as part of WRC*001/017. Most drawings bear project number 59096, which may be misread as 58086. All drawings appear to be mechanical, showing Metzger-Moy stamps as subcontractors to Williams, the architect, except for the lone 59-31 drawing for the locker room & sun terrace, which has Williams solely given as creator. Received with Rankin, Kellogg et al drawings, these images show a later addition to the Chalfonte-Haddon Hall complex, for which the architectural firms Rankin, Kellogg & Crane and Rankin & Kellogg did earlier alterations and additions in the 1920's. Set has 3 copies of drawings labeled 59096-A thru C, 2 identical drawings labeled drawing no. E-A, and drawings labeled 59096-1 thru 5, and 59-31. All 59096 drawings include the seal: "State of New Jersey, Herman G. Metzger, Jr., 8640, Licensed Professional Engineer." May revised 59096 drawings include also the seal: "State of New Jersey, Edward A. Moy, no. 10524, licensed professional engineer." All 59096 drawings include the stamped signature of Herman G. Metzger, as well as the stamp: "Metzger-Moy, Associated Consulting Engineers, Huntingdon Valley, Pa. - Woodbury, N.J.". All 59096 May revision drawings include the stamped signature of Edward A. Moy. Drawing WRC*001*001, 59096-A has stamp with "Ok" from The Atlantic City Sewerage Co. Drawing 59-31 shows the locker room & sun terrace.
