Focus: local, national, international. Consists of: primarily drawings and models; some photographs and ephemera. Institution has a conservation laboratory.
Holdings: small reference library; in addition, the Carnegie Museum of Art¿s sister institution, the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, has the J. D. Bernd Collection of architectural books, including approximately 300 titles dating from the 17th to 19th centuries.
Center organizes exhibitions (2-3 per year). Programs, lectures, symposia, and forums on a range of topics related to exhibitions and regional issues.
