Butcher's daughter, Alice Tyson Butcher, marries George Brinton Roberts of Bala in 1898. The couple commissions Field & Medary to design their new home at Belmont and City Ave. in 1898. Her parents commission Field & Medary to design their center city home in 1904. When her brother's children, Henry C. Butcher, 3rd and Constance A. Butcher are orphaned, the come to live with Alice Tyson Roberts at her Bala home (see 1920 U.S. Census).
